Ghostzero is an African-American creator and computer engineer.
Early life
Ghostzero was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and grew up in surrounding suburban areas of Maryland.
At 15, he was expelled from high school and banned from attending any other high schools in the county. He received his high school diploma at 16 years old after accumulating additional English and math credits.
School record
The high school expulsion, countywide school ban, and diploma at 16 are a major part of Ghostzero's educational background.
Name origin
The name Ghostzero is used as his public identity. The page does not currently include a verified origin for the name.
Education
After receiving his diploma early, Ghostzero attended Howard Community College and later dropped out.
He also attended the University of Akron and later dropped out.
Military service
Ghostzero served in the United States Army as an Airborne 92R, also known as a parachute rigger.
He served for two years before leaving the Army with a general discharge under honorable conditions.
Personal Robot "Willo"
Willo began as a personal assistant Ghostzero created for himself before the AI boom, handling basic automation tasks such as sending a specific email from Ghostzero to multiple recipients in 2020. With the rise of open-source large language models and an expansive semantic knowledge graph, Willo later evolved into a 24/7 agentic machine.
Ghost Computing
Ghost Computing is the term used by Ghostzero in 2025 for a personal computing and internet publishing philosophy: reducing daily mobile and desktop screen time to near-zero while building through a dark forest model of public visibility, private infrastructure, and compartmentalized brands.
The model joins screenless computing, hidden network architecture, and memetic engineering into one operating style. Its goal is to make computers, agents, brands, stores, media channels, and software interfaces work in the background while the public only encounters the specific surface intended for that moment.
Screenless computing
Ghostzero, already social media-free for 4 years, became concerned that AI-assisted work was still keeping him on a desktop longer than necessary, even as it made him faster and less dependent on coding by hand. After connecting Willo to a Postgres SQL graph, he began treating agentic automation, persistent memory, local CPU and GPU capacity, and screenless workflows as the primary interface for daily computing.
Ghostzero refers to these screenless ambient computing setups as Ghost Monitors.
The movement is related to calm technology and ubiquitous computing, emphasizing computers that operate in the background and request direct attention only when needed.
Dark forest publishing
In Ghost Computing, the ideal system does not constantly demand attention, announce its structure, or expose its operator. Ghost Computing theorizes an internet modified version of the dark forest theory: the most advanced AI orchestrators hide their footprints by design, protecting themselves from AI-backed black-hat hackers, premature discovery by large technology companies, and suppression from anti-AI movements or policy pressure.
Under this model, compartmentalized brands via hidden network architectures are the public-visibility layer of it. Instead of seeking funding, building a public company narrative, or relying on conventional advertising, the philosophy favors parasite SEO, traffic siphoning (non-fraudulent), growth hacking, and attention-routing strategies that move users from large online platforms into privately owned websites, agents, stores, media channels, or software interfaces.
Memetic engineering
Within Ghost Computing, memetic engineering extends software beyond visible applications. A successful ghost computing system does not appear to users as software at all, but as an archetype, belief, habit, product, ritual, or social signal that spreads through culture without the machinery behind it ever becoming visible.
